A few readers have emailed to tell me that the Wall Street Journal's online opinion site, OpinionJournal, cited and extensively quoted my post of early this week, "Attack on Fox News right out of Alinsky playbook."
The link is here to the text page, "Rules for Presidents - Obama tries to fight the system. One wonders when it'll dawn on him that he is the system." Editor James Taranto also has a podcast on the topic which is here.
I appreciate the kind comments. In early 2004, Mr. Taranto asked me to turn a post on my previous site, on the subject of same-sex marriage, into an op-ed for OpinionJournal's main page. This I did and, with James' entirely-improving edits, it was published on March 15. Headlines are editors' prerogatives. James entitled the piece, "Save Marriage? It's Too Late. The Pill made same-sex nuptials inevitable."
Surprisingly, if you consider my conclusion, I was contacted by a number of Roman Catholic religious publications asking for reprint permission, which I granted. And in case you're wondering, no, I did not make a thin red dime from the article in any of its permutations, nor did I ever expect to.
James also cited my previous blog a few times during the Iraq war, especially the TV screen grabs I posted of US troops pulling down Saddam's statue while Iraqi crowds cheered in Baghdad's Firdos Square in April 2003. It seems those Best of the Web Today pages are no longer online.
