Tale of Hub teacher’s job struggle stretches truth - BostonHerald.com:
President Obama claimed in a speech to have met and talked with an employed school teacher named Robert Baroz.
Two problems: Obama never met Baroz. And Baroz remains happily employed. ...
Baroz, who supports Obama and his efforts to restore the public sector, told the Herald yesterday he doesn’t mind if the president — or his speechwriters — took some liberties with the facts. It was all in aid of a higher truth, he said.
I have explained a time or two that facts are malleable things to the left side of American politics because the "higher truth" is true regardless of mere facts. See, "The Po-Mo Deconstructed Presidency" and "Scientific deconstructionism."
And the Associated Press calls the president out, too: "FACT CHECK: Obama claims miss some evidence."
