Incredulity abounds that the Obama campaign has actually asked brides-to-be to forego receiving weddings gifts and ask their friends, family and guests to give instead to the Obama reelection fund.
Yes, this sounds like something out of The Onion, thus proving that the Oval Office's occupant is now beyond parody. But it's true. (Click on images for full-size view.)

But why should the Obama campaign stop there? Just think of all the voluntary giving Americans do every week. Since Obama et. al. think that his reelection should be more important than a bride's most special day ever (and apparently they think that brides will agree!), how long will it be before we see a bleg from the campaign like this:
