When I was young I was freefall qualified, but not to this level. It's the only way to fly. Best to watch full screen.
These jumpers are members of the famed 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Despite its name, the 101st is not an airborne, or paratroop, outfit. It is heliborne. But it was a paratroop division during World War II through the Vietnam war. My recollection is that it transitioned to an air assault organization during the 1970s.
The 101st does have a small parachute detachment mainly of pathfinders for remote landing zones for the helicopters. But a lot of soldiers in the Army are parachute qualified, so these demonstration jumpers are not necessarily pathfinders.
