For Israelis, this was business as usual--literally and figuratively. Israelis have long been prepared for incoming missles with and without chemical warheads. In the areas around Gaza, this is a daily affair. In that sense, local area shelters were inspected for the next round of fireworks expected soon.

In a figurative sense, Israelis see this as business as usual. During the 2006 war in the Galilee, in Mitzpe Netofa, there were more people in the local grocery having coffee than in the shelter--you couldn't make the distance at a sprint to the shelter in the time it took the rockets to come in from Lebanon. In Tiberias, a clerk at a hardware store told me I'd better head back to Mitzpe Netofa because it was almost time for the 3:30pm barrage.

In Israel, EVERYONE is in theater.
