This is an excellent discussion by Mr. Scruton. That said, there seems to be many more things occurring in the western world to breed resentment than just those mentioned in the lecture.
One of the US principal exports to the world is culture in the form of media. I suspect many people outside of the west are routinely shocked and outraged by the movies released by Hollywood these days. The "Friday the 13th" genre and others like it make the culture of the west look pretty bad.....and that's regardless of the sexual overtones. I think disgust turns to resentment pretty easily.
