The problem with Creation "Science"

By Donald Sensing

Bill Nye 'The Science Guy' Responds To Creation Museum: Creationism Is 'Not Science':

I don't usually quote Bill Nye, but I think he is right on target with this:

"Creation Science" is not useful, because it can make no successful predictions about nature or the universe. So, it is reasonable to say the expression is an oxymoron, or simply: it's not science. It has no process of observation, hypothesis, experiment, then predicted outcome.
We of religious faith frequently criticize certain scientists of the New Atheist movement for redefining religious terms and concepts in straw-man in ways that make them so easy to knock down. We should be equally rigorous about not propositionally claiming that simple religious dogma is science unless it is amenable to using the scientific method.

People who want to believe in Creationism are free to do so. (I mean, some people even believe that the Democrat party is going to lead this country out of the recession, so there's just no end to the foolishness that people can believe in.) Just don't call it science.
