The ban on cash is coming. Soon.
Governments and central banks (such as the Fed) are moving, albeit slowly right now, toward eliminating cash for ordinary people. They will start with high-denomination bills, such as the Euro 500 bill and the US $100 bill, but eventually even the $20 and maybe even the $10 will be gone.
Why? Because unless they do, the whole financial system collapses.
Actually, it's going to collapse anyway, but maybe just slower if they ban cash.

Just remember that the governing principle of the Left is, as David Harsanyi put it, that ordinary people have too much freedom that they use to make too many stupid decisions.
